Mini Plug (1/8 Inch) to Two RCA Plugs, To Connect Stereo to Computers, iPod, MP3 – 12 Feet

In this world of complicated digital connectors, plugs and patch cables, there’s one thing that still hasn’t changed: the time-honored male to male patch cable which connects the audio output of a device to the RCA jacks (often called phono jacks) on a stereo receiver, VCR or TV. Everyone has these cables, everyone uses these cables, and everyone needs these cables.

And Cmple has these cables. Don’t confuse our shielded mini plug to RCA Y-cables with those which come packaged in a component box or the ones sold at your local drug store. Those are made just so they’ll “work” – the audio will make it from the source to the destination, but there’s no guarantee how good the sound will be by the time it gets there. Those free or cheap cables are manufactured as cheaply as possible, with no concern for materials, shielding or performance.

Our Cmple patch cords aren’t only functional, they’re designed for optimal audio signal transmission. The center connector is made from 99.9% 26-gauge oxygen-free stranded copper wire, the shielding around the connector is low-loss spiral wound copper, and the cable is protected by a sturdy 3.7 mm black PVC jacket. Even the 1/8 inch (3/5 mm) male mini plug and and RCA male color-coded connectors are high-quality, with fully-molded gold-plated plugs to prevent corrosion and limit excess noise. The whole point of the design is to maximize the transfer of your high-quality audio signal from end to end without signal loss, interference or unwanted noise – while minimizing the possibility that the inside cable can be broken or compromised by the twisting and turning which happens when you connect patch cords, or which occurs during the normal daily use of your equipment (particularly if you have kids running around).

There’s no limit to the number of uses you’ll have, even today, for a mini plug to double RCA Y-connector patch cord. The most common is to connect the stereo audio output from your home theater, audio system, DVD player or legacy VCR to your computer. But there are many others. Portable CD players can be connected to your audio system or HDTV. You can re-record the audio from an older tape machine onto a hard drive. You can connect your iPod or other model of MP3 player to nearly any type of audio playback device. It’s truly an indispensible patch cable.

This cable is available in several length as well.

6 feet,  12 feet,  25 feet

Here’s a check on the specifications of the Cmple six-foot mini plug (1/8 Inch/3.5 mm) to two RCA plugs Y-connector patch cable:

  • Shielded Y-cables – 3.7mm OD black PVC jacket
  • Fully molded gold-plated RCA plugs and 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) mini plug
  • Color coded red-white to black
  • 26AWG stranded copper center conductor
  • Low loss 95% spiral-wound copper shield
  • 99.99% pure oxygen-free copper wire
  • Length: 12 Feet

Once upon a time, there were a large number of these cables hanging from the back of nearly every piece of equipment in a TV or stereo system. Today, there are fewer of them, but they’re just as important now as they’ve ever been. And our Cmple cables are the highest-quality you’ll find, while their price is lower – by far – than the cost of a Y-connector patch cord purchased anywhere else.
